Period-care company Aisle, which sells reusable pads, tampons and menstrual underwear, has created a reporting system to self-monitor its CO2 emissions, energy and waste and give consumers a “cradle to grave” analysis.
“We believe in a world where everybody matters and that nothing and no one is disposable,” says Aisle founder Suzanne Siemens. “As a business, we need to be socially responsible and take care of the planet and the people we are supporting.” This, according to Siemens, is designing with equity in mind, which influences how it makes its products.
