Menopause isn’t one-size-fits-all — and care should reflect that. At Coral, we believe every woman deserves support that honours the complexity and individuality of her journey. In this conversation, co-founder and CEO Fiona Lake Waslander shares the intention behind Coral’s expanded offerings: to meet women exactly where they are, with compassion, clarity, and science-backed care.
Q1: Fiona, Coral is launching two new care solutions. What’s driving this expansion?
At Coral, we’ve always known that no two women experience perimenopause and menopause the same way. Some want a deep, ongoing partnership. Others are experiencing debilitating symptoms and need a clear path to symptom relief. Some are proactively preparing for what’s ahead. Others are well into their menopause years and ready to focus on optimizing their health to feel their best.
This expansion is about meeting women where they are in their midlife journey by offering flexible solution options. Our mission is to deliver truly comprehensive care that goes beyond symptom management and focuses on prevention, long-term health, and quality of life.
Q2: What makes now the right time for this launch?
The need has never been clearer. Our members are telling us they want a range of care options. They want access to expert clinicians, but they also want choice, flexibility, and support that fits their lifestyle. We’ve listened, and we’re building on our core strength: team-based care grounded in midlife and menopause expertise. This launch is also a response to the systemic gaps we see in traditional care. Menopause is too often treated as an afterthought but it’s a major life phase that deserves multiple paths to care.
Q3: Can you walk us through what’s new?
We’re introducing two new care solutions. One centered on rapid relief, for those dealing with moderate to severe perimenopause and menopause symptoms like hot flashes, anxiety, or disrupted sleep. It’s a more treatment-intensive option, led by clinicians who specialize in midlife care.
The other is focused on Healthy Aging—designed for women who want to optimize their health and age with intention. It’s a preventive, longevity-focused path built around comprehensive labs, root cause analysis of symptoms and lifestyle support.
The Rapid Relief solution is for women who need relief now and want expert guidance to feel better, fast. The Healthy Aging solution is perfect for those early or later in their journey, or those experiencing mild symptoms who want to stay in control of their health, whether that means getting clarity on what’s changing hormonally or proactively reducing future health risks.
Q4: How do these new solutions build on what Coral already offers?
They reinforce what makes Coral unique: we treat the whole person, not just a single symptom.
Our full 6-month Complete Care program is still available—it’s the most comprehensive option and includes medical visits, lab testing, coaching, and ongoing support. Our new solutions offer the same Coral care model—doctor, nurse, coach, and care coordinator working together—but in more accessible formats. Whether you’re in your 30s preparing for what’s ahead, in your 50s managing disruptive symptoms, or beyond menopause and focused on staying well, Coral has a path for you.
Q5: Your solutions talk about “complete midlife care.” What does that mean?
It means looking beyond immediate symptoms and caring for the entire spectrum of hormonal, emotional, metabolic, and cognitive health. Midlife isn’t just about managing menopause, it’s about setting the foundation for the decades to come.
At Coral, we understand how estrogen impacts everything from bone density to brain function, for example. But we also know that not every symptom is purely hormonal. Your fatigue, mood shifts, or weight changes may be due to hormonal changes—or they could be linked to low iron, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal fatigue, vitamin deficiencies, or other very treatable root causes.
That’s why our care plans are built to get to the root of what’s going on, not just treat the surface. We help you feel better now, and build the habits, insights, and support system to stay healthy next year, and the year after that.
Q6: What would you say to someone who’s unsure whether they’re “menopausal enough” to seek care?
You don’t need to hit some magic threshold to deserve support. If something feels off—your sleep, your mood, your cycle, your energy—let’s talk about it. Hormonal change doesn’t happen overnight, and neither does good care. Coral is here to help you understand what’s happening in your body, whether you’re just beginning to notice shifts or are deep into the transition. Midlife medicine should be as dynamic and personalized as you are.
Q7: How do I know which Coral service is right for me?
If you’re unsure where to start, the menopause consultation is a great option — it’s a one-on-one session with a midlife care coordinator who can help assess your needs and guide next steps. If you’re ready for a full health reset with ongoing care, our signature 6-month program is still the most comprehensive but all of our solutions offer a powerful way to understand what’s going on inside your body and start feeling like yourself again, or even better.
