Dr. Lori Brotto
Executive Director, Women's Health Research Institute
Dr. Lori Brotto is internationally recognized as a leader in sexual health research. She has mentored 149 trainees and evaluated psychological interventions for sexual dysfunction and genital pain, which collectively impact 1/3 of women. Her work influences practice internationally, with mindfulness now implemented in sexual medicine centres and recommended as front line care in international guidelines. In recognition of her contributions, she holds a Canada Research Chair in women’s sexual health, has received recent awards in mentoring junior faculty, excellent public education through media, book awards, and is listed among the top 2% cited scientists by Stanford/Elsevier (SCOPUS citations).

Hilde Færevik
Special Advisor, Health Technology and Life Sciences, Innovation Norway
Hilde Færevik, Ph.D., is a renowned Norwegian researcher and physiologist with 25 years of experience at SINTEF Digital, Health Department. She has led several major research and innovation projects, with a particular focus on understanding female physiology and contributing to the development of guidelines and products tailored to women’s health. Her work includes 34 peer-reviewed publications and has been recognized with several awards for excellence in research and collaboration with industry.
Currently, she serves as Special Advisor for Health and Life Sciences at Innovation Norway, where she is responsible for biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, digital health, and medical technology. In this role, she supports strategic competence development and helps Norwegian health companies scale and expand internationally. Hilde is also part of the secretariat for the national Health Export Initiative and represents Innovation Norway in the Research Council of Norway’s reference group for Horizon Europe in the health domain.

Rachel Bartholomew
Founder, Femtech Canada
Rachel Bartholomew is a 2 time entrepreneur who is now working on her second company, Hyivy Health, created after her recent fight with cervical cancer. Hyivy Health is creating a medical device for the 1 in 3 women worldwide who will experience a gynecological complication in their lifetime. Rachel is a graduate of the University of Waterloo and has been working in various roles in the entrepreneurship ecosystem for over 15 years, including the Founder of Femtech Canada and Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University in Biotech Innovation.
